I spent Summer 2018 in Clearfield, UT as an aerospace structures intern at Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems. My work focused on improving composite T-stringer and Z-frame manufacturing for the A350 XWB and A400M aircraft.

I performed trade studies to evaluate and improve tooling designs, resulting in significant cost savings by reducing the scrap rate. I also developed improvements to stringer manufacturing processes and optimized machines to save hundreds of labor-hours in fabrication time.
